What Are We?
The AURORA HEALTH FOUNDATION is a new registered charity that offers a range of specialised holistic therapy services for adult men and women who have suffered physical, emotional, sexual and/or psychological abuse/trauma in childhood. We also offer help to adult victims of violent crime, such as rape or assault, and support for the partners of survivors of trauma and victims of violent crime.
As a specialist service we are aware of the usefulness of bodywork therapies for survivors of trauma. We recognise that these interventions can help people overcome the stresses and anxieties with body image they may experience as a result of their traumatic experience(s). We also feel that they can help survivors who are unable or unwilling to discuss their emotions or memories via a "talking therapy" consultation.
We therefore offer a combination of "talking therapy" (i.e. counselling) and "bodywork therapy" (i.e. complementary therapies) interventions in which clients are encouraged to make their own choices in the therapy or combination of therapies they receive. We believe that giving clients control of their therapy contract empowers them in their own journey to recovery.
The Aurora Team, some of whom are survivors and/or partners of survivors themselves, are experienced and dedicated health professionals wishing to make a positive difference to all our clients. We all work together to offer a unique blend of counselling, support and complementary therapies for aiding recovery.
Where Are We?
We are based in South West London and consequently the majority of our clients come from South London and Surrey. However, if you are prepared to travel or if you require just a few sessions we can accept clients from all over London, the Home Counties and beyond.

All AURORA HEALTH FOUNDATION services are complimentary to conventional medicine or treatments. It is best to continue on any prescribed medication or medical treatment you are receiving. If you are in any doubt about having Complementary Therapies please consult your doctor before coming to us. Thank you.
Important Note: Your well-being is important to us and we ask you to be open and honest about what medications or treatments you are taking so we can adapt your Complementary Therapy to best suit your needs.
NB: Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities to offer a 24 hour or emergency service for acute mental health problems or those in severe crisis.
