The AURORA HEALTH FOUNDATION (AHF) is a registered charity and a non-profit making organisation. We currently have no financial support from NHS Trusts or the Government and to date we have been unsuccessful in our attempts to secure grants from funding bodies. We therefore rely solely on client fees and have very limited funds; so to enable us to continue our services we request a fee for each of our therapies, workshops, classes and groups.
Each person who comes to the AHF is expected to contribute towards the cost of the service according to their ability to pay. This can be negotiated following individual assessment, but representative prices are as follows:
| Individual Therapy Sessions | - | £35 per person per session |
| Groups and Classes | - | £10-£15 per person per session |
| Mini Workshops | - | £40 per person per workshop |
| Full Workshops | - | £65 per person per workshop |
For Homeopathy and Bach Flower Essences treatments we request an extra £5 - £10 payment to cover the cost of tablets and elixirs.
The cost of the initial assessment and for subsequent therapy sessions is £35. Presently, this fee is fixed as unfortunately the AHF is now not in a position to be able to offer its usual low cost service. We would hope to be able to provide this service again once we have secured external funding.
Please contact us for a preliminary chat to find out if the AHF service may be able to help you. If this is the case, an initial assessment will arranged for you. Payment can be made by cheque, credit card over the phone or by using PayPal (below).
Please note that all fees must be paid in advance to secure a booking and only once payment has been received will an appointment be made for you at the AHF. If the AHF has not received your payment the appointment cannot be confirmed and may be allocated to another client. It is your responsibility to ensure that payment is received so please check with us to make sure before you come for your appointment.

Note that we are continuing to apply for funding to help sustain our organisation and should we be successful we will be able to once again reduce our fees to enable us to offer a lower cost service to more clients.
The AHF operates an appointment only system and appointments are made by telephone. Calls are usually answered between 10am and 6pm although staff are often here later. At other times messages can be left on a confidential answer-phone which cannot be overheard and your enquiry will be dealt with as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can e-mail your details including your telephone number and we will contact you as soon as possible.
The initial assessment is with a senior counsellor and is your first point of access to the AHF. It allows the opportunity to talk about your issues, your reasons for coming to the AHF and the different aspects of the service you might want to use. The session usually lasts between 1 and 1½ hours. Clients are encouraged to come earlier than the appointment time to relax and unwind in the peaceful waiting area. Before your initial session you will be asked to complete a client assessment and complementary therapies form. The counsellor will complete these forms with you if necessary.
If there is mutual agreement between you and the AHF to proceed with counselling, support and/or therapy then arrangements for the next session will be negotiated at the time.
For further information or clarification please phone, e-mail or write to us. Our details are on the contact page.
