Training, Supervision and Support

Aurora provides specialist training, supervision and support services to healthcare practitioners who support survivors of trauma and/or abuse. The services are specifically for practitioners to help them work more effectively with their clients.

Supervision & Support

Support/supervision sessions are available on an individual and/or on a group basis. Areas of concern are identified and ways in which staff can work more effectively with survivors, whilst also taking care of themselves, are explored.

Individual support/supervision sessions give staff the opportunity to discuss issues that they may not choose to disclose in a group session. Group support/supervision are also available to help staff focus on their strengths, identified areas of concern and how they can support one another in the workplace as a team.

A combination of both individual and group support and supervision would together highlight the main issues for staff in working with survivors providing a space where they can offload their thoughts and feelings and to help them to work more effectively.

Training

Aurora also offers bespoke training workshops to cater for the individual needs of your organisation. It can be tailored around the areas of concern identified in the support/supervision sessions and focuses on your staff who work with survivors of sexual abuse, and other forms of abuse such as physical, emotional, psychological abuse and neglect.

Training workshops are facilitated by survivor/therapists and survivor/volunteers from Aurora so professional and personal perspectives are given to the training.

Please contact us to discuss your needs. Fees are negotiable.
